Thanksgiving is one of the most popular holidays in the United States. Family and friends gather together to eat a big meal and give gratitude for their blessings. In my community I was touched by the kindness I observed to those that didn't have the funds to eat a Thanksgiving meal or have family or friends to be with. Here are some examples. 1) A church secretary who interacts with homeless people gave them food gift cards so they wouldn't go hungry on Thanksgiving Day. 2) A chef who owns a restaurant made turkey, gravy, stuffing, and mashed potatoes and invited everyone who was alone to join him for a Thanksgiving gathering. Those that decided to come brought along a dish to share and there was plenty of food and fellowship for everyone to enjoy. 3) A local organization of volunteers hosted a free Thanksgiving feast to anyone needing a meal and companionship.Lots of people attended and there were lots of smiling faces. 4) A baker made lots and lots of different pie...
